If you are, than girl, strap on your Monolo Blahniks and grab your Birkin bags again. Sex and the City" stylist Patricia Field has revealed that the rumored sequel to "Sex and the City: The Movie" will be hitting a theater near you ... eventually. And, by the way, this is all very unofficial. But who really cares about officiality? Heck, that's not even a word! All I know is that the sequel better be good and lord knows the writers have big shoes to fill.
"I do believe it will happen, because [creator] Michael Patrick King himself told me it's gonna happen," she told MTV News.
The original big-screen adaptation of the HBO series, released back in May, was an instant hit that updated fans on the glamorous lives of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda.
If you missed the movie (and shame on you if you did) here's a recap:
- Carrie got married to Mr. Big, but only after he practically left her at the altar, in only a way that Mr. Big could do.
- Charlotte and Harry adopted a Chinese girl and although she was only 6 years old, she got to spend her time hanging out with four middle-aged women while they talked about sex and martinis.
- Samantha moved to LA and hated it. Smith Jarred worked too much and so Samantha decided he wasn't spending enough attention on her so she dumped him.
- Miranda got cheated on my Steve. She left him and couldn't find it in her heart to forgive him, until she was on the Brooklyn bridge and decided she could either forgive or jump off. She's still alive.
What will the next chapter in their lives bring? Here's my prediction:
Big and Carrie are still married. She makes him go to therapy to deal with his monogamy issues. They buy a brownstone in the Upper East Side and Carrie

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I've never understood the appeal behind Sex and the City *dodges whatever is being thrown.*
I tried watching a few episodes, I just couldn't be bothered.
Should I seek help? lol
For me, the allure was always beautiful, intelligent women with a sharp sense of wit and, although heterosexual, were not close-minded in the least bit.
Well done! I love your prediction for Miranda, it sounds perfect to me.
I love Sex and The City! I still watch the reruns and went to see the movie. I can't wait for the sequel!! I don't know if you should seek help, Liz, but it's truly a wonderful show.
